Weddings
From the bride getting prepared with friends in the morning and if locations permit the groom as well all the way through the day to an hour or so after the 'first dance' as the evening is well underway I work hard to document every aspect of your day in a mix of colour and black and white imagery.
Bringing my skills and knowledge as a photojournalist to your wedding I aim to photograph the key stages of the day as well as all the things you might miss. The details, the reactions, the moments so that I give you a set of photographs that truly represents your day.
The way I approach any wedding shoot is to be very informal and relaxed with few if any of the more traditional and formal group pictures. I prefer to allow the day to unfold and document it as it happens which I believe results in far stronger and more memorable images.
The only exception to this might be to head off for a walk around the grounds of a venue for a short period of time to allow the bride and groom to share some time together. This gives them a chance for a little break together and affords me a chance to take some natural and important pictures of the couple on their own.
This is also an informal walk with minimum direction from myself as I prefer to let the couple do their thing and I work around them to get the photographs with only a little direction here and there.
All the high resolution pictures that I edit from the day are then provided to you as soon as possible in a password protected gallery on my website for you to download and use for your own prints, photo-books, social media or however you wish. Whilst I retain overall copyright of the pictures, part of your booking automatically grants you a licence to use the pictures.
As with all my work the pictures I shoot are always archived on two separate hard drives so they remain safe and can be made available to you again should you need them in the future.
When it comes to the money part of all this there are no hidden extras or additional fees or add-ons. I want to make the process as stress free as possible as you'll have plenty going on as you plan your day.
For full day coverage as mentioned I charge a fee of £1500 - the only addition to this fee would be travelling and accommodation expenses if the wedding was somewhere I needed to travel too but that can be discussed on a case by case basis as required.
A £500 non-refundable deposit would be required to secure the booking.
So please feel free to browse the wedding images here and if you like the way I approach the shoot and you think it might fit with what you're after for your day then drop me a line in any of the usual ways for a no-obligation chat to discuss your requirements and we can go from there.
All the best,
Ian
